My husband and I enjoyed everything from our warm welcome on the phone to the pictures of Sicily. Our meal was delicious from beginning to end. I cant wait to return from vacation and go back to try the Ravioli. We had a delicious meal and the owners are true to their passion. This is one you should not miss.
The best Italian restaurant in Toronto Thank You La Cascina
for those of you how are reading this review, LA CASCINA is bomb!!! great people, great service, great food! My first experience at La Cascina was just full of awesomeness! Sharifa and Luca, you guys and along with everyone else, were just so great with everything! i felt the passion, effort and hard work you guys put out there. you guys deserve the best review and i will be back again to visit! thank you
I am very familiar with Italian cuisine being from
an Italian family.
The antipasto platter for $24.00 was not
enough for one person! Taste was fine but
nothing extraordinary, hot sample dishes,
fennel, cod, cauliflower and potato were creative
and tasty but miniscule portions!
Tomato based pasta with lamb had so little
lamb you had to search for it and was a basic
Tomato sauce, nothing special.
Grilled meat was good but just grilled meat,
To be had anywhere.
Dessert was not great, tiny and served on a
huge plate, maybe to make up for it's size .
$400. for 4 people and we were hungry after...
French portions of Italian food
La Cascina, is by far my favourite Italian restaurant in Toronto. My boyfriend and I love to go there when we are in town. The unique dining experience is one to be savoured and enjoyed. It is a true delight to take time at La Cascina and soak in the culture and knowledge that is the foundation of this restaurant. Each time I have gone the Chef and his wife Sharifa have outdone themselves. I look forward to my next visit and will continue to bring guests in to share in my experience. This hidden gem is definitely worth a visit....or Ten!!!
Bar none...best pasta in the city!!!
Many thanks to Sharifa ad Luca for an evening in Italy! The food, atmosphere and service was over any expectation.
Luca, your cooking is simple and fresh and at the same time a tangle mystery of flavors.
Sharifa, your service is impeccable and the warmth and enthusiasm you bring out with every dish, gives La Cscina it's ultimate Italian touch.
So Grazie to La Cascina, you make even the most nostalgic Italians love Toronto one more time.
Fair, not impressed with small portion for high prices. Pasta ok, but sauce was thin and when it says Ragusa you expect lamb in the sauce, cookies at end where I must say great, done by Choclate Burnet. Not my idea of authentic Abruzzo.
